This solution is for anyone attempting this in co-op. Good time to plow through news van "roadblocks" if you have to.Īnother tip: If you're skilled enough at driving to avoid collisions, driving down the wrong way on any of the highways is a good way to avoid news vans for quite a while. Two stars on near misses: Drive close to the oncoming lane and almost hit the cars, swerving before you actually do.Ĭause 1000 points of vehicle damage: Better off sideswiping vehicles so you don't have to slow down and get caught by the news vans.

Two stars on powersliding: Brake and make a sharp turn, as you'll likely need to do anyway to avoid the news vans. Ocassionally you'll get special requests:ĥ5 mph for 3 or 4 seconds: You should be driving this fast anyway, easy. If you're asked to kill a private investigator or other target, just run them over instead of trying to shoot them, else you'll likely get cornered by news vans. Keep an eye on the mini-map, and if you see news vans ahead, turn around or change direction before you get close enough to take pictures. The Mexican-styled setting, though is pretty cool, for as much as it doesn't really scream Saints Row to me.Basic strategy: Try to drive as fast as possible, and turn corners often.

It looks fine, I'm not hating on it like a lot of people are, but it's just so bland and sterile.Įverything from the UI to the setting has nothing to do with the previous over the top aesthetic of SR, in my opinion. Regarding this game, I still don't get why it's called Saints Row.

Not referring to you or anyone specific, mind you, I'm just using your comment as a jumping point to express this perceived disparity. The only thing I don't get is why is everyone ganging up on SR but not GTA? Why is GTA V still considered a 10/10 by many people, if so many are quick to point out how little the envelop has been pushed. You basically drive, shoot, drive some more, shoot again.

These sandbox open world games are such a slog nowadays, they basically still play like they did on PS2.
